Buick’s flagship model, the Buick LaCrosse sets the tone for the entire Buick collection of 2015. They have finally separated themselves from the notio that «if someone is driving a Buick, then it must be your grandmother». The new 2015 Buick Lacrosse is quiet, comfortable, easily controlled, spacious, with a smooth ride. The standard powertrain is a 182-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 15-hp electric motor, front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic which leaves speed demons wanting more, but a non-hybrid, 304-hp 3.6-liter V-6 is optional for those who want a little more kick off the line. It is also in front or all wheel drive ( a good feature for the folks up north).
The modern luxury appointments are a welcome sight along with its impressive standard features along with the 4-cylinder motor version doing well in the gas mileage category. Again, for you folks up north, don’t forget the all wheel drive options. Remember, you do lose about 8 MPG in the city when you go with the V6 model which is disappointing and the steering can be twitchy if certain upgrades are not met.
Overall, it is an solid outing for the 2015 Buick LaCrosse.
